Pat Moreland talks about contracting polio when she was 7 years old and receiving treatment for the next 7 months in Blank Hospital in Des Moines. She describes her career as a dietitian; her family; the decision to have surgery to correct scoliosis at age 32; and adapting to the disabilities brought on by post-polio syndrome.
